It's been a while

I haven't written an entry in a while. During the past few weeks I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I stopped only for a moment to wonder if maybe I have bitten off more than I can chew (what am I thinking working 3 jobs?), but it is what I chose, and I can't say that I regret it. I am fairly happy...I've spread myself a bit too thin, but I'll figure out a way to balance my time, to work it all out. Anyway, I'm still here, just taking it one day at a time.

In Love with Life

Last night, I attended my first Mary Kay training. We happened to have a speaker, Maria (can't remember her last name). Anyway, she spoke to us about living in the moment, about focusing on exactly what you want, how you can get it, what you need to change about yourself to do that, and what you are grateful for, among other things. Needless to say, it was very motivational.

After leaving the meeting, I realized that I am in love with life right now. Part of that has to do with the fact that I have made a decision to try something new, something different. Also, I have finally let go of all the ridiculous fears I have held about relationships, and have fallen in love with my amazing boyfriend. I finally am getting my finances in order (I'm just about done paying off the last of my credit cards...yay!). And I love my family. We aren't perfect, but we all get along better than we have in years. I know that I am not doing a lot of the things I thought I would be doing right now, but I am perfectly happy with what I am doing. Life doesn't always take you in the direction you thought it would, but every moment is perfect, just as it should be. Forget about what "perfect" should be, life is perfect because it is what I have created. And I really must say:I love my life!

I am starting my own business!

Ok, so I am becoming a Mary Kay consultant. But it really is my own business with all the benefits. I am soooo excited. I feel like it was an impulse decision, but it really isn't. I met with my consultant, Sandy, two weeks ago, and have been thinking about it ever since. I slept on it and still am interested, so I decided to give it a shot. We'll see where this takes me. I'm just gonna enjoy it. (By the way, if anyone would like great skin care products, make-up, etc., you know my number)...hehehe. Yay!

Going with the flow: my life's path and where it's leading

I have put so much thought into my future, and I recently I have been unsure of where I was going. But, I realize all my life's dreams, goals, and experiences are all leading me in one direction. If I had stopped being a "Bisy Backson" and just let my life go it's course, I would have realized it sooner. I was too busy trying to force myself in one direction to see where I was actually going. So here it is: I want to write educational (standards based) children's books. It is the perfect plan. Now I just have to do it. How exciting.

I LOVE the internet!

I just have to say that the internet is the greatest thing since sliced bread! There are very few things that you cannot find on the internet. It's all there. Need to know how to convert metric units to customary units? There's a website that'll do the calculations for you! Thinking about going to a certain restuarant? Their menu is on the web! Feel like talking to a friend who is working in a cubicle on the other side of the building? Go on AIM (I LOVE AIM...we can chat without using minutes on our phone, and not have the thing attached to our ear)! Want a journal that's accessible wherever there is a computer (and they're everywhere)? Go to Xanga (on the internet), and read your friends' journals! I can find almost all the information I ever need. I LOVE THE INTERNET!

Ok, that's all I wanted to say.
